By self-performing key disciplines—including civil engineering, mechanical and electrical works, OHLE and permanent way—we retain full control across interfaces, reducing risk and ensuring seamless integration throughout delivery. Our in-house possession planning plays a vital role, allowing works to be carefully sequenced and efficiently delivered with minimal impact on the operational network.

Our accredited HSQE management systems ensure compliance with the highest industry standards and are supported by robust risk assessment, hazard identification and effective mitigation measures. Disciplined site management, controlled access arrangements and permit systems help protect our people, the public and the integrity of the rail infrastructure we are trusted to deliver.

Collaboration sits at the heart of our project management approach. We work closely with Network Rail, Train Operating Companies, Local Authorities and private sector partners to align objectives, manage interfaces and maintain continuity of operations. Through Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), we identify and address risk at the earliest opportunity—helping to optimise designs, improve programme efficiency and provide greater cost certainty before construction begins.
