Barrow Hill Depot
Spencer Rail Engineering’s client for the Barrow Hill project was East Midlands Trains. The brief was to design and install temporary facilities to enable Barrow Hill to Service East Midlands Trains’ fleet of Class 222 Meridians and high-speed trains (HSTs) whilst access to Etches Park was restricted during the East Midlands Re signalling scheme. Barrow Hill is unique, not only because it is a tourist attraction as well as an operational Rail depot, but also as it is a privately-owned facility.
